50 Cent has finally decided to speak out on all the rumors regarding G-Unit Records. He finally revealed why Mobb Deep is no longer with G-Unit and also spoke about the status of both Young Buck and The Game. Fiddy claims both Buck and Game are still under contract with him even though they are now considered “ex members.” According to This Is 50:
"As far as the rest of the roster, of course the original G-Unit as a group are gonna stay together," Fif promised in an interview. "That's myself, Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks and on the actual label, G-Unit Records as a roster, I let Prodigy and Havoc go off the label because P had to get extra money before he went into jail. And Havoc just had idle time while P was gone because he didn't work as often as P does. M.O.P. was kinda just waiting for me to do it for them...Hot Rod and Spider Loc are still technically signed to G-Unit Records...Buck is still signed to G-Unit Records, hopefully he can come up with a record. If he can come up with a song, we can get my money back, you know what I'm saying? I hope he can come up with something right quick. I'm looking forward to that check at least. They gotta pay me not to put the [G-Unit] logo on it."
Fiddy also addressed the rumors and the chances of possibly signing Beanie Sigel to G-Unit via MTV.
"I had a meeting with him today," 50 said in . "First we gotta start with the music -- where's the music? Then we have to get into what it would take to bring him over to G-Unit as a record company . You can't sign a deal in a conversation -- it's a process. We'll see what happens. I would listen to what he has. His skills haven't diminished. Nine times out of 10, he'll have something workable already on deck. When you're dealing with artists who have been established longer than you, it's a process. You have to figure out exactly where they are at before you commit to being a part of those projects, because they have habits and they've been conditioned for something different. You have to figure out exactly what that is before you dive in."
Well now everyone knows what the deal is with 50 Cent and G-Unit Records. Poor Mobb Deep man. Didn’t they get G-Unit tats on them? Not a good look! I mean how you gonna explain that one? COMEDY! Well alls well that ends well!
